Aparna is a California native. She completed her undergraduate, medical school, internship, and residency in Chicago, before returning to California for fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and postdoctoral research training at UCSF. She co-directs the Molecular Medicine pathway for physician-scientists, and is a firm believer in the importance of longitudinal mentorship and finding joy in your work. She is always up for a cup of tea with friends.
Grace graduated from UC Berkeley with a BS in Molecular Cell Biology. In the Sundaram lab, she is working on understanding how pro-inflammatory cytokines modulate force transmission by integrins. Grace likes a good cup of boba, spending time with her cats Boki and Toyo, and listening to true crime podcasts.
